: Does anyone think McD's, or other businesses should be liable for medical expenses if you are injured while on their property--buying their merchandise?

I think that any company should be liable if they know that their is a
safety hazard on thier property, and someone is hurt. however, if someone is hurt due to their own carelessness, or someone else that is not part of the company is responsible for the injury, than the company should not be held liable.

For example, if I go to the amusement park, and I get on a ride that tells me to buckle in and I refuse to buckle in, and I get injured, I do not think the park should be held liable, however, If I buckle up and then I get hurt, due to faulty equipment, than the park should be held responsible. On the other hand, if the park and I both do what we are supposed to, but a patron in the back didn't, I believe that the other patron should be responsible.
