: Yes, I know the nature of this site is to bash McD's, the corporate
: world, and capitalism. However I do know that various McD reps visit
: this page. So here is a request for any of you who are visiting.
: I thought the McDLT was a good burger. Any chance that might return?
: Also, for any of you managers or regional executives in the Lone Star
: State, I also miss the Texas Homestyle Burger! I thought it was popular,
: and was surprised when I was told it was cancelled. The Arch Deluxe is
: OK, but it doesn't hold a candle to the prior Homestyle line.
: I hope both of the above will return.

I don't know what to say. I too, am from the Lone Star State and we still have the Homestyle Burger, so I am surprised to hear that it is gone from your market.

The McDLT was a national "lettuce and tomato" sandwich that was VERY popular but alas, was the victim of the packaging backlash (although our packaging did not have CFC's). Little or no chance of its return unless someone figures out how to package it in a manner satisfactory to our customers (but still meets McD requirements).

The Homestyle burger is also a "lettuce and tomato" sandwich, but is a regional flavor developed to go against our biggest competitor in Texas, Whataburger. It reflects the taste preferences of the Lone Star State, i.e. no ketchup, LOTS of mustard, pepper, lettuce and tomato. It is a standard menu item but not a required item, so perhaps they were not selling very well in your neck of the woods.

Have you spoken with your local owner/operator (O/O) to find out why the sandwich is gone or if they plan on returning it?
