Ever heard of cognitive dissonance, where people change their opinions in order to fit their behaviour? You started off with a moral viewpoint, but because you gave in and ate a burger you've now decided that we might as well let McDonald's & co get on with screwing the planet up. What a turnaround!

Obviously you don't really want to be extinct otherwise why are you still here? Can't you accept that you were right first time around - McDonalds is crap and the fact that you ate a burger doesn't mean you have to revise your original opinion.
