Simple. By instating 'economic democracy', ie. the collective ownership of production facilities by the people, the representative democracy is no longer necessary. Politics is the science of distributing goods and wealth to the people *), and if the people do that themselves it is as a system no longer required.

*) for example, Conservatism seeks to distribute wealth according to the status of the work the people do, liberalism seeks to distribute to whomever may take it and socialism seeks to distribute it more or less evenly.
