Do you not agree that poverty is the greatest threat to the earth, and the present CO2 emission curbs being discussed will lower economic growth,thereby increasing poverty?Qx: Here's a reply that I agree with and wish I had posted earlier.Your position on CO2 emissions is a fallacy of distraction ,which is a special case of a false dilemna,since you assume that this proposition about CO2 emissions must either be known to be true or known to be false.In other words,you feel if there's no proof that this is true then it is false.

As far as poverty goes I know that poverty is a consequence of an unfair power relationship called CAPITALISM. Somehow you miss the point that curbing CO2 emissions and other forms of pollutions will lower economic growth according to the dominant economic school of thought that you seem to believe is gospel truth. Those indicators of economic growth are short term in their goals and serve dominant elites. Check out the Institute for Economic Democracy for more insights. They're on the Internet too.
