That's why, after only two hundred and twenty one years, America is the most powerful nation in the world, baby! Take away the incentives (carrots) and the sticks, and where would we be (France? Ha!). It's our deft blend of carrots (you can achieve anything) and sticks (don't work and you'll waste away on the streets) that drives this mighty engine, grinding anything in its path!
