Dear Mike,
I lived in Houston and Vidor for ten years. When I was sent to TDC
on exaggerated charges I saw the way Texas really operated. The oil-boom
had gone bust and at my first chance I escaped Texas. What followed was a spiritual transformation that wouldn't have happened if I hadn't left that state and eventually left the USA. The deep-seated authoritarian nature of Texas society deprived me of basic human rights such as freedom of speech and I spent a good number of years enslaved in the Texas Gulag. Most people call it the TDC. Others people like me know better.

Texas is in for big changes due to the nature of it's society. The center cannot hold and unfortunately what you may see as middle-of-the-road I see as indicative of a generalized acceptance of a worldview shaped and formed by corporate media. For me there is no difference between liberal and conservative media. They emanate from the same sources as their corporate owners. (One must take a close like at power structures before one can get a clear picture of this.)

Another thing for this posting is that capitalism cannot be reformed. It
is not an ideology but a rather haphazardly put together system of heirachical control. If this planet is to be saved then this is a vital fact that must be recognized. If you're curious about my views then check out this website.
Sincerely and Solidly Wobbly,
Quincunx
