Thanks for replying, Scott. According to all the great communist and socialist theoriticians there is a natural progression of economies. We are currently in a stage of capitalist domination. What socialists are working towards is a democratic socialism. That is a socialist economy with a popularly represented central government. This will go on for a while until the workings of economy become so second nature to the people that there is no need for a central government to regulate it. The central government will be done away with and you have: Communism! All communism really is, is something rather like socialism with no central government. I'm not going to go into depth about how the economy itself would work, you can read about that. The point being, there is no central government let alone a controlling party. According to everything I've read and people I talk to the only difference between communists and anarchists is that anarchists believe you can skip the socialism stage and go straight to communism(anarchism). Anyone else disagree with something I said? C'mon, bring it on!!! You can go to my page, GlennyRed's Socialist Misconceptions Webpage, although it's not much to look at right now.
