Destruction and lack of freedom

"Doing what you want" in this case includes the slaughter of the environment, oppression of the Third World and the creation of social winners and losers from birth. And as for freedom, there are many definitions of what this concept really means. Most people say like you "doing what you want." But if freedom is just the right to do whatever you want, any law becomes an infringement of freedom. Laws that forbid murder, rape, theft and the like as well.

So it seems we need another valid definition of freedom if we wish to create a society that doesn't succumb to barbary.
