Capitalism will screw the planet, and live to tell?

It's going to take a lot more than "reform" for the capitalist system to deal with the combination of resource shortages (esp. oil, which should become an important political matter again in the next decade) and environmental catastrophes (esp. as caused by the resurgence of diseases that have been created by medical overuse of antibiotics, already happening with malaria today in Africa, and as caused by deforestation, the real reason the capitalists met in Kyoto this year). The next century will see political chaos to make this century appear a relative era of peace.
