Day 238 - 22 Apr 96 - Page 04

paper with not very much on it, but it is a couple of
       sentences.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Can I have a copy of it?

MR. MORRIS: I have not actually got copies of it yet. I am
       hoping to ----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Hand it to me some time today. I see,. You
       have not received it yet?

MR. MORRIS: I have not received it yet. I am going, hopefully,
to see him this afternoon. He has not been very well last
       week.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Have you got it there?

MR. MORRIS: I have not got the additional material.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Absolutely. As soon as you have got it, hand
       it, yes.

MR. MORRIS: I will fax it to you.

  MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes.

MR. MORRIS: Also, while I have the opportunity, Sue Bramford,
who is a witness, has arrived back from Brazil and she was
able to appear on the schedule originally for 16th May,
after Mr. Brett, the day after Mr. Brett. I have not
managed to contact Mr. Olive, but I am hoping to call him
       in that week.

  MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes.

MR. MORRIS: And Mr. Campbell is confirmed for the 10th. He is
arriving at Heathrow, I think, at 9 o'clock in the morning,
so it is just possible that we would like to start a little
bit later, like 11 o'clock, or something, that day.

I was going to ask the Plaintiffs how long they expected
the cross-examination to last, although that may depend on
our application for what issues are now admissible or
relevant, but if they were intending to cross-examine for
more than a day, then he would have to come back at a later
date to finish off his evidence.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Is he going out of the country again that
       evening?

MR. MORRIS: He is. He is staying over especially to appear.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Is there much point in him coming for part of
       the day?

MR. MORRIS: Well, he is coming for the day.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes, but he is not going to be here by 10.30
and, if it is extremely unlikely that he will finish in one
day, what is the point in bringing him across twice?
