17 A. Yes, I am.

19 Q. How long have you worked for the McDonald's organisation in
20 this country?
21 A. I joined on 8th January 1978.

23 Q. How old were you at that time?
24 A. Around 27, I believe.

26 Q. In what capacity did you first work for McDonald's in this
27 country?
28 A. I started as a crew member.

30 Q. You come originally, I think, from Pakistan; is that right?
31 A. Yes.

33 Q. How long were you a crew member?
34 A. I was a crew member for around five, six months.

36 Q. Was that full-time or part-time work?
37 A. Part-time.

39 Q. Have you undertaken any academic studies while you have
40 been in this country?
41 A. Yes, sir. I have done my Master degree from Aston
42 University and Computer Science with Application. I have
43 done -- it was from Hatfield university, used to be
44 Hatfield Polytechnic -- I have done a Diploma which is
45 equivalent to BSc Honours in Computer Science. I have also
46 done quite a few courses such as basic systems analysis and
47 Computer Science, Introduction in Computer Science, Post
48 Graduate Diploma from North London Polytechnic in computer
49 science. Also I was research assistant; I was pursuing my
50 PhD in Computer Science and my practical work was accepted,
51 but then I got married and we thought that was enough.

53 I have done BSc in physics, mathematics and statistics.
54 I have got other qualifications such as FSC, I think it
55 was, in about five or six subjects, matriculation in seven
56 or eight subjects or nine subjects.

58 Q. How long have you been the licensee of the Barnet
59 restaurant?
60 A. I took over on 15th August in 1993.
