The Core Audio Glossary defines audio-related terms used in the iPhone OS and Mac OS X Reference Libraries. Some definitions vary by technology, in which case more than one definition is provided.
Some of these terms are specific to Core Audio, while others are commonly used in the audio community. Additional knowledge of audio concepts (such as harmonic analysis or psychoacoustics) may be needed to fully understand some of the terms.
