DIRECTORY UPDATE 2/1/04: The long-awaited 10th Anniversary C-RS membership / genealogy directory went to press on January 26, 2004. The 220 page membership and genealogy directory will be mailed to members who purchased copies the week of February 9, 2004.
The Society publishes a membership directory that includes members' address, phone number, e-mail address, and Rusyn ancestry data.
The Rusyn ancestry data is an excellent tool for genealogy research. It lists members' surnames and ancestral villages; this information is presented several ways:
- By Rusyn village name
- Alpha by surname
- Alpha by member's last name
- Cross reference to present country's village name
This item is offered to our members at low cost, and is a valuable tool in establishing genealogy research contacts and to see the potential of forming a Carpatho-Rusyn Society Chapter in your area. The 2004 directory is offered in a print edition, and in the future will be offered on CD-ROM for easier/faster searching.
The next directory is scheduled for publication in January 2004 and will help to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Carpatho-Rusyn Society's founding.
