From Pittsburgh: Take PA Turnpike into Ohio and take the Interstate 680 exit into Youngstown. Look for the South Avenue exit. Go north on South Avenue into downtown Youngstown. When you get near downtown, the new Convocation Center will be on your left and that will be Front Street. Turn left on Front Street and go three blocks which will be Market Street or RT 62. Turn right or north on Market Street. Proceed through Downtown, Market Street will become Wick Avenue in the middle of town. (Essentially the same street.) Proceed until you see Youngstown State University. There will be a covered pedestrian bridge and The Butler Institute of Art is immediately to the left once you pass under the pedestrian bridge.
From Cleveland or Akron: From Cleveland, take Ohio Turnpike to Interstate 80 East. From Akron take Interstate 76 to Interstate 80 East.
Take the Interstate 680 exit into Youngstown and look for the South Avenue exit. Go north on South Avenue into downtown Youngstown. Read the instructions for Pittsburgh for remaining directions to The Butler Institute of Art.
From Erie: Take Interstate 79 South to Interstate 80 West to Youngstown. Take the exit after the Girard exit which is Salts Springs Road. Turn left and stay on this main four lane highway. This will take you to Interstate 680. Go south or to Youngstown on Interstate 680 and look for the South Avenue exit.
