You are cordially invited to attend a showing and discussion of The Czech film ‘Zelary’. This World War II thriller involves a Czech medical student who flees Prague and the grasp of the Gestapo by escaping and blending into village life and the rural environment of the Carpathian Mountains. She resents the lack of basic services of urban life but she is challenged and surprised when she comes face-to-face with the ‘Carpathian character’ of the villagers.

It is a delightful way of taking a break from the activities of the coming holiday season and viewing  a warm and spiritually uplifting film on a cold December afternoon.
