When Small Peoples Dream Big Dreams: The Lemko Rusyn Republic, 1918-1921
Presented by Bohdan Horbal (C-RS, New York, NY)

Enjoy an informative afternoon when New York Public Librarian and noted Lemko Historian Bohdan Horbal chronicles the unsettled landscape of post-World War I Europe. This remarkable and little-known epoch in Rusyn history--in which the Lemkos made a courageous and dignified plea for recognition and independence--is explored. Become aware of how the Lemko Rusyn people struggled to take control of their own political and cultural fate.
