Saturday, February 12, 2005 Jakub is a Documentary Film about Rusyns Jerry Chanda, a member of the faculty of William Paterson University, and Maria Silvestri, will show this documentary film about the people of a Rusyn village in northern Romania who were relocated to the Sudetenland of Czechoslovakia after World War II. The film focuses on the recollections of members of the community as they reminisce about an unusual character named “Jakub.” The film is notable for its beautiful camera work and shows aspects of Rusyn life at the time. Stop). Busses leave Saturdays at various times, but the most convenient
leaves at 1:00 and arrives at 1:47. Bus stop is just across the street from
the Wayne Municipal Building, which also houses the library.
