"Rusyn Heritage Celebration"

The New Jersey Chapter’s Golden Valashka award will be presented to Lee Hrehovcik, its immediate past president at a Rusyn Heritage Celebration. Enjoy a dinner of ethnic food and be entertained by Dr. Roger Latzgo, an accomplished musician who will play Rusyn and Slovak favorites on guitar. John Righetti, president of the national Carpatho-Rusyn Society will be present along with the national Vice President, Maryann Sivak, to give a visual update of the restoration of the Cultural Center. Tom and Kathryn Peters will bring their extraordinary display of Rusyn genealogy and Luba Fedash, author of the inspiring “Blossoms on a Rooftop” will sign copies of her book. Books, maps and other Rusyn items will be available for sale. The directions are as follows:
 
From the Garden State Parkway or Route 46 West: From the North - Take Exit 154 onto Route 46 West and exit at Great Notch, Cedar Grove. From the South - Take Exit 153B onto Route 3 West to Route 46 West exit at Great Notch, Cedar Grove. At the stop sign, proceed straight onto Lackawanna Avenue to St. Michael's Chapel on the right.
 
From the West - Take Route 46 East or Route I-80 to Exit 53 to Route 46 East to Great Notch, Cedar Grove Exit. Turn left at the stop sign and cross over Route 46 and turn left onto Lackawanna Ave and proceed to St Michael's Chapel on the right.
