Annual Meeting

                              Saturday, November 10, 2007,  2:00 – 4:00 PM

Wayne Public Library, 461 Valley Road, Wayne NJ

Everyone is welcome and Refreshments will be served.

After a short business meeting, there will be an election of officers for a two-year term. Only current members of the Carpatho-Rusyn Society are eligible to vote. There has been a change in the program that will follow the meeting. Initially we had planned to present the film “Creative Threads: A Rusyn Tapestry;” however, the film is incomplete due to production problems and scheduling difficulties. We will show the film at a later date upon its completion.

In place of the film, Tom Peters has graciously consented to present a program entitled “From No Man’s Land to the Promised Land: Our Journey to the Carpathian Homeland.” Mr. Peter’s program is intended to convey what it means to be a Rusyn with a multimedia presentation of the beauty, culture and an historical perspective of the land that our ancestors left behind. To paraphrase Mr. Peters, “It is only by understanding our historical, cultural legacy and religious history that we can come to an understanding of where we stand as a people that we learn the process of finding our ancestral family.” For further information, call (973) 540-0971 or send an E-mail to JoyceCBarr@aol.com.
