"Explaining Rusyn Dances"

Junction of Routes 505 & 97, Erie, PA


Learn about our traditional Rusyn heritage through the energetic dances of
Slavjane Folk Ensemble of McKees Rocks, Pittsburgh. In advance of their Sunday concert,
leader Dean Poloka will use video to explain the meaning of the dances and songs,
plus dance customs from our regions of Slovakia, Lemko region in Poland, and sub-Carpathian Rus’
with Children and adults will learn a dance or two, for an afternoon of delightful fun!

From Pittsburgh: I-79 North to I-90 East to Erie, Exit 27.
From Buffalo or Cleveland: I-90 West/East to Erie, Exit 27.
From Exit 27 (State Street Exit): Take Rt. 97 North for one mile to Jct. 505.
At light, veer right on Rt. 97 North and the church is immediately on the right, 5827 Old French Road.
