The documentary takes place in the Rusyn village of Ladomirova which lies in the Northeastern Slovakia near the Polish border. Through a series of vignettes, the film probes the memories of villages on topics ranging from the Nazi invasion to their resistance of the Socialist regimentation. It explores history through the eyes of these Rusyn villagers without attempting to reproduce objective truth about the life of the people living in this Rusyn village. It rather tries to capture their subjective memories, revealing the joyful and painful traces which the events of the 20th century have imprinted on their daily lives.

Rusyn and Slovak with English subtitles
