LIFE AND WRITINGS OF ALEKSANDER DUCHNOVIC

    Sunday, October 23rd -- 2:00 p.m.

    St. Mary Magdalene Hall
5390 West 220th Street, Fairview Park
(near the Clague Road exit off of I-480)

The Cleveland Chapter of the Carpatho-Rusyn Society is sponsoring an inspirational presentation on the life of Aleksander Duchnovic, a scholarly Rusyn priest, educator, historian and philosopher. Father Duchnovic, often referred to as the father of the Rusyn reawakening, wrote the poem remembered and sung as an anthem to this day “Ja Rusyn Byl, Jesm’ y Budu” – I Was, Am, and Will always be Rusyn. His writings have proven to be as inspirational today as when they were first penned. This presentation is free and will be given by Dean Poloka, Vice-President of the Carpatho-Rusyn Society.
