Working Modes

MTE has got several working modes.

• The Text mode supports writing similar a word processor the formatting codes of which are the tags.
• The XML mode corrects the text selection such that only complete tag elements are selectable.
• In tag editing mode, the names and attributes of the tags are changed.

Generally, you can do anything what you can do with notepad: select text, copy, cut, paste.

Differently to notepad, you cannot select non-complete elements, e. g. no opening <tt> without closing paired </tt>:

• Text Mode
• XML Mode
• Tag Editing Mode
