Welcome to another jam packed issue of Inside Mac Games. We've got a ton of cool new demos including Railroad Tycoon II, Tanaka, and Caesar III. We've also got some excellent QuickTime movies on the CD. Be sure to check out the previews of Fly, SimCity 3000, and Bugdom, they all have QuickTime movies of gameplay. Oh, and don't forget to stop by the QuickTime Gallery for even more movies.

More Content = Happy Subscribers
We got a lot of good feedback based on the last issue of IMG. While most liked the switch to HTML, some didn't like it, but said they could live with it. While I agree its not a perfect solution, HTML is an evolving medium, and we just felt it was time to leave DocMaker alone (after using it for more that 6 years).

We got a lot of e-mail from subscribers who really liked the content in Vol 7 - Issue 2. It was, compared to some of the past issues, chalk full of previews, reviews, and interviews. In this issue we feature even more content with 7 sneak previews!

In the next issue we hope to add even more content. Since my return to IMG, we've been slowly building up a good base of trustworthy and professional writers. Unfortunately, it has taken more time than I would have imagined. Finding good dedicated writers is quite a difficult task! As we increase the size of our staff, we'll be increasing the amount of content on the CD-ROM.

MacOS 8.6 and Quake 3 Test
We were planning on including both Quake 3 Test and MacOS 8.6 on this issue, however, due to legal implications, we're prohibited from including them on the CD. We apologize for this, we were under the impression MacOS 8.6 was a "free" update. Oh Apple, will the ever learn? As for Quake 3 Test, id Software does not want their "alpha" to be distributed on CD-ROM's such as IMG. When the real demo comes out, we'll be sure to include it.

The Next Issue
We're already hard at work on the next issue of IMG. The next issue of IMG will be dedicated to Mac gaming hardware. We'll be checking out all the hot new 3D video cards, USB joysticks and games pads, as well as G3 upgrades. In addition, we'll be visiting with the Bungie West and Blizzard North folks. So expect previews of Oni (with video footage and interviews), as well as a peak at Blizzard North.

Until next time!
