Getting started with teTEX

Here is what you need to do to use a minimal teTEX:

1. Turn on computer.
2. Download the following from sunsite.informatik.rwth-aachen.de:
   1. the binaries i486-linux.tar.gz, or i486-linuxaout.tar.gz,
   2. the base files tetex-base.tar.gz and latex-base.tar.gz.

3. Next unzip and extract all the files using tar.

4. Then add the directory with the binaries to your PATH environmental variable.

5. Finally, run texhash and texconfig.

Remeber to do step . It is important!
