Suzanne
Virginia Saleeby graduated with highest distinction May
13, 2007 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel
Hill. She received a bachelor of arts degree in Spanish
and Arabic. At UNC, Saleeby was inducted into Phi Beta
Kappa and was a member of Sigma Delta Pi Spanish honors
fraternity and the Women's Glee Club. She was also a
Model United Nations representative and tutored English
as a second language students. She will be attending
the University of Virginia's Yarmouk University intensive Arabic program in Irbid,
Jordan.
A 2003 graduate of Salisbury High School, she is the
daughter of Jeff Saleeby of Salisbury.
Suzanne
Virginia Saleeby of Salisbury is one of 128 students
recently inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, the nation's
oldest and most honored of all college honorary
societies, at University of North Carolina at Chapel
Hill.
She is the daughter of James Jeffrey Saleeby of
Salisbury and Dorothy Houck Saleeby of Poute Vedra,
Florida. |
Suzanne Saleeby completed a study abroad program on
literature and media in Allepo. Syria and Lebanon. She
is currently studying for her Master of Arts in Arab
Studies at Georgetown University's School of Foreign
Service.
