Even from her prison cell, Martha Stewart would look at this editor and call it a good thing. Aside from its glassey front, it has a new engine under the hood that really hums. Just click and hold the mouse button in the scroll bar to see the difference. This editor, even in its early stages, blows the old one away. (And the old version pretty much blew the competition out of the water.) Some new features are worth braggin about. You can now command-double-click to find constant definitions and record definitions. Even more important, these are found in about 1/5 of a second on my dual 1 gig. The old editor took 5-6 seconds. We have cleaned up things such as the way code sections are remarked in and out so that no extra characters are included or excluded each time. The same holds true for bookmarks. |
