Tour
When you look at the new prefs window, you have got to be getting a glassy look in your eyes. But its beauty [painstakingly implemented by Scott Spencer] is more than skin deep. May I draw your attention to the bottom right hand corner? Thanks to Jay Reeve, we can now scan the entire set of headers and rebuild our list of toolbox functions and procedures - not to mention our lists of DEFs and USRs - at start up. There is a serious speed hit for this though. You will have to twiddle your thumbs for two tenths of a second while this process is going on. I wonder... can anyone do a full thumb twiddle in two tenths of a second? OK, here is why I am so thrilled about this new feature: I could make a new USR function, exit the editor and restart it. The next time in, my brand new key word would already be highlighted. I would have, in that short time, modified FutureBASIC. Is this cool or what!
