  1. Telemate's UPGRADE.EXE

  4. Many users reported the UPGRADE.EXE, dated 12-22-89 generate  
  5. incorrect TM.CFG for Teleamte 2.00.  I have corrected the error and 
  6. post the revised version TMUPD.ZIP, dated 1-13-90 in the file area.

  8. TM200-2A.ZIP has been repacked such that it contains the new  
  9. UPGRADE.EXE.  
  10.  
  11. If you are a sysop and want to keep the most updated Telemate on 
  12. your board, please download the new TM200-2A.ZIP.  Or you can 
  13. download TMUPD.ZIP and repack TM200-2A.ZIP.
  14.  
  15. If you still have the 1.20 TM.CFG or TM.CBK (the backup file), 
  16. please use download
  17.    TMUPD.ZIP 
  18. and execute UPGRADE.EXE again.
  19.  
  20. If you have already delete 1.20 TM.CFG or TM.CBK, you SHOULD delete 
  21. the correct TM.CFG and execute TMINST.EXE which will generate a new 
  22. TM.CFG for you.

  24. If you don't want to delete the TM.CFG, please follow the steps:
  25. 1. Edit TM.CFG and locate the lines
  26.  
  27.      TerminalType=ANSI
  28.      Connect1="n=Modem"         <-- this is wrong
  29.      Connect2=""                <-- these
  30.      Connect3=""                  -       are
  31.      Connect4=""                  -           redundant
  32.      Protocol=Z
  33.  
  34. 2. Replace them to 
  35.  
  36.      TerminalType=ANSI
  37.      Connection=Modem
  38.      Protocol=Z
  39.  
  40. 3. Save it and exexute Telemate again.

  43. I am sorry in leaving such a bug in UPGRADE.EXE.  If you have any  
  44. problem, free feel to let me know.  I'll solve it as soon as 
  45. possible.
