Changes From Beta-B (Public) To Beta-C (Public)
Files Added : RAUPDATE.EXE, KILL.EXE
Files Removed: KD.EXE
* Thanks to Rick Schaefer for RAUPDATE, Which is the program CZip uses to
upload RAs File Data Base (FDB)
* Thanks To Josh Edler For KILL, Which CZip uses to remove its temp directorys
Both of the above programs are free for you to use, Both have saved me ALOT
of work.
---
* The Swapping bug still exists, If your running on a LAN or haveing problems
* will bad files passing, Disable swapping.
If you would like to pick up the CZip echo, Please send an AreaMgr message
to 1:2210/7068 requesting echotag CZIP
* Hopefully fixed the comm bug that caused ATH0M0 to be sent to the modem
even when the user hasn't dropped carrier. If you still have problems,
*PLEASE* let me know and add /NOCD to your command line.
* You may now convert archives when using RA 2.x. Enable RA 2.x FDB under
CZSETUP/DIZ/BBS SETUP
* Added FILE_ID.DIZ/DESC.SDI/Etc. Support for FILES.BBS/RA 2.x/PRODoor
systems. Added DIZ/BBS setup screen in CZSETUP:
Update RA 2.x Database(Y,N):
When enabled CZip will cause RAUPDATE to make changes to the RA
FDB, Changes written will include writting DIZ/SDI description files,
written converted filenames and new file sizes. There is currently
a bug in RAUPDATE that will cause the imported DIZ files to look a
bit "strange" in RAMGR's editor.
Path To RA File Database:
This should be the full drive/path to the RA 2.x file base.
(The same path as in RACONFIG/SYSTEM/PATHS/FILEBASE)
Update FILES.BBS(Y,N):
When enabled CZip will write/maintain a temp. file used by CZ-DIZ.
CZ-DIZ *MUST* be run **AFTER** any "file door" exits and before control
is passed back to the BBS, It requires one command line 'switch'
/A(Path), Where path is the the full drive/path to the area that the
user uploaded to. (EX: CZ-DIZ /AD:\FILES\UPLOADS)
Long Line(Y,N):
When enabled, CZip will convert the DIZ/SDI file to one long
line insted of an "extended description", It will also strip off
all (most) "hit bit ASCII" chars.
Update $DOOR.NAM PROdoor(Y,N):
When enabled CZip will update PRODOORS $DOOR.NAM file with the DIZ
file, It will use the PCBDRIVE, PCBDIR enviroment variables to find
this file. CZip will also keep private uploads private, The only
differance is CZip will place "PRODoor Private String" on line one
and the DIZ will start one line 2.
PRODoor Private String:
When a user under PRODoor uploads a file private, CZip will place
this line before the DIZ. All "varables" that can be used in the
comment files are valid here.
Import DIZ Files As Descriptions(Y,N):
If disabled CZip will *NOT* import DIZ descriptions into the
FILES.BBS/FDB/$DOOR.NAM. Under normal situations, Enable This!
Extra 1&2:
These lines (if present) will be added to the bottom of each
description written. All comment parms. are valid.
($U - Uploader / $O - Oldest File / $N - Newest File)
($V - CZip Version / $T - Total Files)
DIZFile#1-9:
Defines which files CZip will import as descriptions, CZip will
search the upload for the files in the order the appear here, Once
one is found it will stop searching.
* Added a few options for -AV protected files:
(CZSETUP)
-AV Action: Protect (Default) CZip will not ADD/DELETE any files from
the protected archive.
Move CZip will move the protected file to the -AV
dir (see below)
Ignore CZip will treat the protected archive like any
other archive.
When using Protect/Ignore be sure StripAV (CZSETUP/COMMAND LINE) is
disabled.
-AV Dir: When specifyed and -AV Action is set to move, CZip will
move -AV protected files to this directory for manual
verifaction by the sysop.
* ANYONE running PKZip 2.04x MUST edit there command lines
(CZSETUP/COMMAND LINE SETUP) and add "-)" to ALL zip entries
(Add/View/Delete/Comment). This disables DPMI usage and solves alot
of problems. (Including the lockup bugs)
* Added new errorlevel 6, This errorlevel will be returned if no DIZ
file was found in the archive and DIZ as descriptions was enabled.
If you wish CZip to return this errorlevel you MUST place a -DE on your
command line. RA 2.x USERS DO NOT ENABLE THIS, If any errorlevel is
returned to RA the file fails, If you enable this all files without a
DIZ will fail.
* Replaced KD.EXE with KILL.EXE, A public domain utility curtisy of
Josh Elder. KILL.EXE must be in the same directory as CZIP.EXE
* Node numbers may now rage from 0-999, The previous limit was 9
* The path to the drop file (/I) will now also replace *N with the node
number passed from (/N). (For those who can't read<g>)
* Fixed bug with CZSetup locking up on mono systems.
* Fixed problems with commenting in general.
* Corrected Comment Bug that caused the users first and last names to be
run together.
* CZip will now use the enviroment var. CZCOMMAND as part of the command
line. DO *NOT* place /F@ /P*P /B*B etc in the enviroment variable,
it won't work.
* Fixed problem with FILES.BBS space padding.
* Fixed problem where an upload with 250-300+ files was uploaded CZip would
hang. CZip no longer cares how many files are in an upload.
* Added command line parm. -EL, This switch will force CZip to exit with
the proper erorlevels, Regardless of the 'Action On Exit' setting. Note:
If 'Action On Exit' is set to 'Files & Move' the file will still be moved
and the 'Fail File' will still be created.
* When entering paths in CZSETUP, If the specifyed directory does not exist,
the user will be prompted to create the directory.
* Fixed a "File Not Found" bug when using "Kill Comments"
* If StripComments is enabled and a comment file is specifyed, CZip will
use the CommentFile insted of removing the comment.
* Fixed problem with ARJ 2.39+ files. (I hope.)
* CZip should be fully compatable with the ThunderByte Virus scanner, I
have glanced thru the .doc and have seen nothing to make it not work.
If you have any problems using this scanner please let me know.
* 'SetDateToNewest' will now work.
* The "Fatel Error: Cound Not Create Temp Directory." Is no longer fatel,
If CZip left a direcotry behind for some reason, it will now reuse it.
(It should also no longer leave them behind, Just in case <g>)
