MCopy (07/01/92)
-================-
Here's the initial release of MCopy, the companion to your normal c:Copy
command. It REQUIRES the 2.04 operating system. Its template is as follows:
FROM/A,TO/A,CLONE/S,DATES/S,NOPRO/S,COM/S:
All the switches work the same way they do as with the Copy command. The
notable difference here is that MCopy expects a source directory, not a
source file (or files). It then opens up an ASL file requester asking you
which files you'd like to copy to the destination directory. After choosing
any files you wish copied, selecting OK will commence copying and selecting
Cancel will abort the copy.
If any errors pop up during the copy, you will be shown which file the
error occured during and asked if you wish to continue with the next file
via a requester.
MCopy is fully reentrant and pure assembly code, so it can be made resident
if you so desire. It's small, fast, and (hopefully) a handy addition to your
c: directory. You may check which version of MCopy you have simply by typing
"Version mcopy" at a Shell prompt.
What IS MCopy??
-===============-
MCopy is CollegeWare! That's right, the old financial crunch is on, and I'm
finding it increasingly difficult to afford lunch, let alone worry about
getting the latest toy for my computer or fixing my car (an '81 Chevette,
need I say more?). So, if you find this program useful enough and me pathetic
enough (grin) to warrant a donation, I certainly won't refuse it! Thanks, and
here's to hoping that, in some small way, I'm making a great machine even
better.
