This is my first PostScript font, although I did some bitmaps way back when.
(BlockBuster is mine, here on AOL.) Savannah Fats was done in FontStudio -
a joy of a program - and is based on Buxom, which has been around for a
while. Completely free, compliments of me and The Savannah College of Art
and Design. I'd like some feedback.
And now, a word from our sponsor:
COMPUTERS AT THE SAVANNAH COLLEGE OF ART AND DESIGN
Computers are being used more and more in all areas of art. The Savannah
College of Art and Design is committed to preparing students to meet
tomorrow's needs in electronic imagery. SCAD's Mac lab is equipped with
large screen and color monitors, laser printers, scanners, and the latest
in software.
Professor Jim Alley started the Mac lab. Alley's computer work has been
published in Macworld magazine and Becoming a Mac Artist as well as on the
cover of ProFiles magazine. He has been the featured artist in SCAN (Small
Computers in the Arts News) and AmigaWorld Magazine. Examples of work by
Alley and several of his students can be found in Becoming An Amiga Artist.
Alley's students share his enthusiasm for the computer. "The students here are
doing exciting things in many areas. The computer is a tool, just like a
camera, paintbrush, or loom. All tools have their strengths and their
limitations. It is up to the individual artist to find the best combination
of tools to achieve the effects he desires. Right now the computer is one
of the most exciting tools available."
About The College:
