  3. TITLE      IBM OS/2 VERSION 2.0 NO-CHARGE UPGRADE PROMOTION MODIFICATION

  5. ABSTRACT          This document modifies the following promotions that were
  6.            announced on October 22, 1991:
  7.            o   No-Charge Upgrade Promotion for OS/2 (R) Standard Edition
  8.                Version 1.X to OS/2 Version 2.0, described in Marketing
  9.                Announcement 391-178
  10.            o   No-Charge Upgrade Promotion for OS/2 Extended Edition Version 1.X
  11.                to Extended Services with Database Server for OS/2, described in
  12.                Marketing Announcement 391-179
  13.            o   OS/2 LAN Server Version 1.X to Version 2.0 - Entry No-charge
  14.                Upgrade and Distributed Feature Promotion, described in Marketing
  15.                Announcement 391-180.
  16.                   Effective immediately, the IBM OS/2 Version 2.0 No-Charge
  17.            Upgrade Order Form is to be used to process all no-charge upgrade
  18.            orders for:
  19.            o   IBM OS/2 Version 2.0 Retail Upgrade Package
  20.            o   OS/2 Extended Services with Database Server
  21.            o   IBM OS/2 LAN Server Version 2.0 (Entry Version).
  22.                   August 24, 1992, is now the final acceptable date by which all
  23.            order forms must be received at IBM OS/2 Program Headquarters.
  24.                   All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.

  28.            If additional assistance is required in completing or obtaining the
  29.            no-charge upgrade order form, call 1-800-677-2581 between 9:00 a.m.
  30.            and 5:30 p.m. Eastern time, Monday through Friday (except holidays).

  32.            Please fill out all applicable sections, then mail this form and
  33.            required proofs of purchase to:

  37.            If you need assistance, call 1-800-677-2581 from 9:00 a.m. to
  38.            5:30 p.m., Eastern time, Monday through Friday.
  39.            All earlier OS/2 (R) Standard Edition versions must have been
  40.            acquired on or before March 31, 1992.  Your upgrade order must be
  41.            received on or after March 31, 1992, but no later than
  42.            August 24, 1992.
  43.            All earlier OS/2 Extended Edition and LAN Server versions must have
  44.            been acquired on or before April 24, 1992.  Your upgrade order must
  45.            be received on or after March 31, 1992, but no later than
  46.            August 24, 1992.

  48.            Fill out if you are upgrading from IBM OS/2 Standard and/or Extended
  49.            Edition Version 1.0, 1.1, 1.2 or 1.3.

  103.                   For licenses being upgraded, you will receive one upgrade
  104.            package.  In addition, you will receive Proof of Additional Upgrade
  105.            License certificates for upgrading all other earlier version
  106.            licenses.
  107.                   Only one order form can be used per qualifying location (a
  108.            single building designated by a single mailing address in the United
  109.            States or Puerto Rico).  Photocopies of this form can be used to
  110.            place orders for additional locations.

  112.            the IBM Redemption Center.
