Lets you choose a server in SESSION.
Drive Mappings
Lets you add, modify, and delete drive
mappings.

Lets you add, view and modify search
paths, even those on local drives.

Select Default Drive
Lets you pick the drive you will use after
you exit SESSION.
User List
Lists the users logged in to the selected
file server. Also lets you send messages
or view connection information about a
user.

These users are logged in to the file server.
If a name appears more than once, the user is
logged in to more than one workstation.
To see connection information or to broadcast
a message to a user, highlight the username;
then press <Enter>.
User List Selection Help 1 of 1
You can view connection information or send a
message to this user. Highlight an option and
press <Enter>.
User Information Help 1 of 1
This information is for the specified user.
(You need Supervisor rights to change this
information.)
Press <Escape> to return to the user list.
File Server/Username Help 1 of 1
You are logged in to these servers. Your
username is at the right of the servername.
You can use these keys:
<Enter> Change default file server
<Delete> Logout of file server(s)
<Insert> Choose a file server
Modify <F3> Change to a different username
Log Out of Server Help 1 of 1
To log out from this server, select Yes.
Otherwise, press <Escape>.
Maximum Servers Help 1 of 1
Log out from one of the servers you are
logged in to. (Your station can't be attached
to more than eight servers at a time.)
Other Servers Help 1 of 1
To log in to a file server, highlight a
server name and press <Enter>.
Username Help 1 of 1
Type the name you use to log in to this file
server. If you don't have a username, you
can probably log in as GUEST.
Login Password Help 1 of 1
This username has a password. Type the
password, then press <Enter>. For security
reasons, the password isn't shown.
Access Denied Help 1 of 1
You couldn't change usernames because you
typed an incorrect username or password.
Logout From Default Server Help 1 of 1
You can't log out from the file server
associated with your default drive. Doing so
invalidates your workstation's current drive.
Change Default User Help Help 1 of 1
You can't change to a different username on
the file server mapped to your default drive.
New Username Help 1 of 1
Type the name you want to use when you log
in to this file server and press <Enter>.
Change Name Password Help 1 of 1
To log in as this user, type the user's
password and press <Enter>. Otherwise, press
<Escape>.
Access to Server Denied Help 1 of 1
You couldn't log in because you typed an
incorrect username or password.
Drive Mapping Help 1 of 1
These are local and network drives, except
search drives.
You can use these keys:
<Enter> Display drive information
Modify <F3> Change drive's directory mapping
<Delete> Delete a drive mapping
<Insert> Add a drive mapping
Delete Drive Help 1 of 1
To delete the directory mapping for this
drive, select Yes. Otherwise, press <Escape>.
Local Drive Mapping Help 1 of 1
To remap the drive letter to a network
directory, select Yes; otherwise select No or
press <Escape>.
The drive letter you selected was mapped to a
local drive. If you remap the drive letter to
a network directory, you can't access the
local drive again until you delete the network
drive mapping.
All Drives in Use Help 1 of 1
You have used all drive letters. Before you
can, add a new drive mapping, you must delete
one.

To map this drive, press <Enter>. To pick
another drive, press <Backspace> and enter a
drive letter.

You cannot delete the current drive.

been remapped to a network directory.

Your effective rights in the selected
directory are listed.
If this drive is mapped to a local directory,
no rights are listed.

To change the default drive, highlight a
drive and press <Enter>.
Otherwise, press <Escape>.
Send Message Help 1 of 1
Enter a message to send to a user or group.
You cannot erase your name or connection
number from the message line.
Message Not Sent Help 1 of 1
Your message was not sent. Either the user
has used CASTOFF, or the user already has a
message waiting to be read.
Bad Path Syntax Help 1 of 1
The path was not valid. Exit to DOS and use the
PATH command to remove the invalid path.
For a network drive: Use a drive letter followed
by a colon and a period (for example, "G:.").
For a local drive: Use a drive letter followed by
a colon and a complete path specification (for
example, "A:\DOS\NEW").
For several paths: Separate them with semicolons.
The path should not contain spaces.
Bad Drive in Path Help 1 of 1
One of the drives specified in the path is
invalid. Exit to DOS and remove the bad
drive letter. (Use the DOS PATH command.)
Search Map Help 1 of 1
These are your search paths.
You can use these keys:
<Enter> Display rights information
<Insert> Add a new search path
Modify <F3> Change a path
<Delete> Remove one or more paths.
Delete Search Drive Help 1 of 1
To remove this drive from the search path,
select Yes. Otherwise, press <Escape>.
Maximum Search Drives Help 1 of 1
Delete a search path before adding another.
You can specify only 16 search paths.
Search Number Help 1 of 1
To insert the new search path in front of the
old path with that number, specify a smaller
number. (Using the default search drive number
makes the new search drive the last drive.)
Drives in Use Help 1 of 1
All drive letters are being used. To add a
drive, delete or modify a mapping.
Invalid Search Number Help 1 of 1
This search drive number is invalid. Specify
a number that is one higher than the highest
number displayed.
Other Local Drives Not Allowed Help 1 of 1
Select the local drive specified in the error
message. For a list of drives, press <Insert>,
then select the correct drive.
Change Password Help 1 of 1
Change your password; it has expired. (Your
login was successful because you are allowed
a grace login.)
Invalid Volume Help 1 of 1
The volume name wasn't valid. For a list of
available volumes, press <Insert>.
Invalid Path Help 1 of 1
That path doesn't exist. To view available
file servers, volumes, and directories, press <Insert>.
Select Directory Help 1 of 1
Type in a directory specification.
To view available directories and choose a
path, press <Insert>.
Check Password Help 1 of 1
To verify the spelling of your password,
retype the password you entered.
Enter a New Password Help 1 of 1
Enter the new password you want to assign
to the user.
File Servers Help 1 of 1
This menu displays the file servers that you
are currently attached to.
You can use these keys:
<Insert> Log in to a new file server
<Delete> Log out of one or more servers
Modify <F3> Change user name on file server
<Enter> Change to selected server
Volumes Help 1 of 1
To select a volume, highlight it and press
<Enter>. To return to the server selection
screen, highlight ".." and press <Enter>.
Existing Group Information Help 1 of 1
These are groups on the current file server.
To send a message to a group, highlight the
group name and press <Enter>.
Local Drives Not Allowed Help 1 of 1
You can't include a local drive in the path.
For a list of available directories, press <Insert>.
Network Directory Help 1 of 1
Select a directory from the list; then press
<Enter>.
Select ".." to back up one level.
Local Directories Help 1 of 1
Select an entry and press <Enter>. Select
".." to back up a level.
Other Servers Not Allowed Help 1 of 1
Select a directory on the server named in the
error message. For a list of directories,
press <Insert>, then select a directory.
Network Drives Not Allowed Help 1 of 1
Network drives are not allowed in the path
specification.
Cannot Change User Help 1 of 1
You cannot change to a different username on
a local drive.
Cannot Log Out Help 1 of 1
You cannot log out from a local drive.
Not Logged in to Server Help 1 of 1
You are not logged in to this server. To list
the servers you are logged in to, press
<Insert>.
To log in to a server, press <Insert> again
and select a server.
Invalid Server Help 1 of 1
The server name wasn't valid. For a list of
servers, press <Insert>.
Unknown Server Help 1 of 1
The server you specified isn't attached to
the network.
For a list of directories, press <Insert>,
then choose a directory.
For a list of servers you aren't logged in to,
press <Insert> again.
Send Message Help 1 of 1
The message you enter is sent to the groups.
To be anonymous, use <Backspace> to erase your
name and station number.
Illegal Character Help 1 of 1
The password you entered has an illegal
character in it.
Logout From Primary Server Help 1 of 1
You can't log out from your primary file
server. Doing so invalidates your
workstation's search drive mappings.
Change Primary User Help 1 of 1
You can't change usernames on your primary
file server. Doing so invalidates your
station's search drive mappings.
Unknown Server Help 1 of 1
The file server you specified isn't valid.
The server is down, isn't connected to the
internetwork, or you misspelled the server
name.
Local Drive Map Help 1 of 1
You selected a local drive letter. The
effective rights information is not available
for local drives.
Map Root Help 1 of 1
Map root lets you simulate a root at any
directory in the path, not just at the volume.
This is useful for programs that have problems
with deep directories or long path names
(longer than 64 characters).
Example: sys:user\bob \
The final slash indicates a map root.
