AMAC-PRG.INF for contents.
The AMAC series of macros contain broadly useful QEdit macros I
wrote, and many macros were contributed by John Goodman, et al.
AMACxx.ZIP is uploaded to CompuServe IBMAPP Lib 0 (Lib 1 after 30
days in Lib 0), Exec-PC (414-789-4210), and SemWare
(404-641-8968).
A description and running instructions for each macro is in a
txtfile [filename].QM where [filename] is the name of the macros.
> The user is advised to read BOOK19.QM first since AMAC41.ZIP
> requires many files be configured with the user's directory
> containing the AMAC files. After configuring, the simplest way
to load a macro for execution, for example BOOK19.MAC, is to type
"START BOOK" <Enter>. All pertinent files will be loaded in the
"Ring" for viewing, and BOOK19.MAC is read. A brief description
of all macros is in ALLMACRO.INF. The other new techniques for
loading and executing macros are described in BOOK19.QM.
For running and conversion of these macros, "QEdit and QMAC v2.1,
Feb. 1990" or later are required.
PROBLEMS or SUGGESTIONS?
------------------------
Any problems or suggestion, John Goodman and I would like to hear
from you. I am especially interested in knowing if the new macros
in BOOKxx.QM work for you. I have been using them for a while,
and I am encouraged by their versatility and power. They involve
a new technique that has not been fully user tested and are my
first real effort to have a macro read a macro, a heretofore not
recommended procedure. Until this "macro reading a macro"
technique can be fully tested and proven to be viable, I am
recommending the user *not* use this technique in other macros
without full knowledge of it's pitfalls and limitations.
I can be reached daily on either SemWare, Exec-PC or NewWare. I
check CompuServe only once a month. I will also try to include
your useful macros in AMAC if you send them to me. John Goodman
can be reached on SemWare and Exec-PC. I hope you find some of
these macros useful. I have enjoyed writing them.
QCONFIG.DAT should be configured as follows:
DECRYPTING MACRO @f
--------------------
These macros are free. However, if you find them useful and
would like to send me a gift for any amount, I will be glad to
accept it. Macro @f is by far the most useful and, although
it's really not very complicated, it represents the culmination
of a lot of work. So, I don't apologize for encrypting it!
I'll be happy to send you the Password to decrypt @f if you
would like to send $15.00 (or any amount) in a self-addressed
envelope to:
T & T Enterprises
PO Box 10786
Greensboro, NC 27404
I'll still be glad to send you the Password even if you don't
have $15.00 or don't think these macros are worth it. Just
send a self addressed stamped envelope! The 250+ AMAC macros
have been my full time effort for the last year from which I
have received NO income. I didn't expect to. I just enjoyed
immensely this effort, but now I have to pay the bills <grin>!
I hope you find these macros useful.
See bok001.qm for instructions how to decrypt @f.
