SEMPER BYTES - Freeware Utilities for Semper from Shark Bytes - 06-Nov-93
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
CURS_OFF.TOS --- This program simply turns the cursor off. It was written
for FIDOdoor, which leaves a blinking cursor on the screen when loaded from
Semper, though it's quite possible it could be useful with other programs.
Instructions: Set up a Function to load FIDOdoor, if you don't already
have one. Simply add CURS_OFF.TOS as the program following FIDOdoor. No
command line is needed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
MOUSE_ON.PRG --- This program simply turns the mouse pointer on. It was
written for programs, such as BBS Express! ST, which leave no mouse pointer
on the screen when they exit to Semper.
Instructions: Simply add this last to the Function of the offending
program. No command line is needed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SEMP_MDM.TTP --- This utility was written for BBS Express! ST. It is
designed to write a proper BINKLEY.MDM file for your callers. It does this
by reading the BBS.BAT created by Semper and parsing the caller's baud
rate. If you don't run BBS Express! ST, it's highly doubtful this program
will do anything useful for you.
Instructions: First place SEMP_MDM.TTP in your main BBS directory. Next,
create a Function in Semper to load your BBS. The first program in this
Function should be SEMP_MDM.TTP, with the path to your Semper directory in
the command line. A trailing backslash is required. The second program in
your Function should be BBS.PRG, which, of course, does not need a command
line. And finally, add this Function in Semper's "Other" menu. (For local
logons, create a separate Function, where you may simply pass -KILL on
SEMP_MDM.TTP's command line and it will delete [if found] your BINKLEY.MDM.)
