- To play the game:
-

- You are to gobble all the dots while avoiding attack from the baddies.
-
- Snuffing the energy-chargers reverses the roles and gives you a chance to take
- revenge on the baddies (not bad for your score either!).
-
- Grab the goodies that magically appear to gain even more points.
-
- Clear the screen of all dots and you proceed to the next level.
- And if you should get far, a note of warning - them baddies stop playing
- around and start getting mean!

- CD-MAN VERSION 2.0 Game Control

- The One and Two player games, where only one player is active at any time,
- can be controlled by either the cursor keys or a joystick.

- In the Double mode one of the players can use the joystick or both players
- the keyboard as follows:

- CD-MAN VERSION 2.0 Control Keys

- Move around the Menu with the cursor keys, choose items by highlighting
- them with either the up and down keys or the first letter of your choice.
-
- ESC at any point, any time, anywhere you can always return to the Menu by
- pressing ESC
-
- CTRL-Q will always exit the game to DOS instantly (without stopping to save
- the latest changes to the Top-Ten table even)
-
- If you exit from gameplay with ESC you can continue your game by
- choosing CONTINUE.

- CD-MAN VERSION 2.0 The Highscore Table
- ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

- The highscore table shows the ten best scores, the players names and the time
- and date the game was played.
- It also holds the entry of the last player (or players if the last game
- was a two-player or double game).
-
- The highscore table is contained in the file HIGHSC.CDM
- If you want to start over with an empty highscore table you can simply
- delete the file and CD-MAN will create a fresh one.
-
- NOTE! New entries in the highscore table will only be saved if you exit the
- game with the QUIT option in the menu!

- CD-MAN VERSION 2.0 The Statistics Table
- ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

- Pressing the spacebar at the highscore table will get you the
- statistics table.
-
- The columns are:
-
- Active game time - The time the game was actually played - that is, the time
- spent in the menu, help screens and so on is not included.
-
- Screen / Level - The number of screens reached and the level on the
- last screen.
-
- Average speed - A measure of the average speed relative to the other
- players.
-
- Moves made - Total number of moves made, one move being the distance
- between two dots.
-
- Monsters / Bonus - Total number of monsters and bonuses taken.
