  1. The following 8-part archive contains the source to xarchie - a browser
  2. interface to the Archie network database. Please read the README
  3. carefully before compiling the program, especially if you are using
  4. gcc. Please read at least the beginning of the man page before using
  5. the program to make large queries. The TODO file lists things that are
  6. already being considered for the next version.

  8. This code is derived from the Prospero system by Cliff Neuman
  9. (bcn@isi.edu) and from the standalone archie client recently posted to
  10. comp.sources.misc by Brendan Kehoe (brendan@cs.widener.edu). The file
  11. README.FILES describes the interrelationships.
