  1. INTRODUCTION

  3. This is the READ ME file for UUPC/extended 1.12d by Kendra Electronic
  4. Wonderworks, and was last updated October 12, 1993.  This same file is
  5. included in all the UUPC/extended archives.
  6.  
  7. UUPC/extended is a UUCP clone for DOS, OS/2 and Windows NT, and now
  8. Windows 3.1.  The package includes MAIL and UUCP commands, it does not
  9. include a news reader.
  10.  
  11. The software and associated documentation is copyrighted; individuals or
  12. corporations are free to use this software on as many systems as they
  13. desire for as long as they want without paying a fee, but it is not
  14. public domain software.  Restrictions exist on how the software may be
  15. copied or modified, primarily to insure others are not charged for the
  16. software except for reasonable copying costs.  See LICENSE.PRN in the
  17. documentation archive UPC12DAD.ZIP for the details.

  19. You are encouraged, but are not required, to register for telephone
  20. support of the software, optionally receive the next major release when
  21. available, and generally encourage us to keep this insanity up.  See
  22. REGISTER.PRN for additional details.

  49. ABOUT THE RELEASE
  50.  
  51. 1.12b in October 1993 was our first major release with documents since
  52. 1.11w in September 1992.  The biggest change is the documentation has
  53. been entirely rewritten and expanded.  We welcome your comments and
  54. suggestions on our new documents.
  55.  
  56. This release is includes minor bug fixes and a reformatted source on top
  57. of 1.12b's base code.  This release has no new function.

  75. Note that as of release 1.12d, the number of source archives was
  76. expanded from 2 to 4 to make archives small enough to fit on a 360K
  77. floppy.
