- Those are most likely herpetic vessicles (are they initially fluid-
- filled bumps that rupture and leave a little crater?), caused by
- the herpes simplex virus. I believe acyclovir is helpful for these
- but I doubt you could talk someone into prescribing this to be taken
- prophylactically.
