- obviously this man never learned to shift..;-)
- sides..you are talking about something different. what you WANT is a cluchless
- manaul..unfortunatly, everyone dumped $$ into autos instead..so you have to
- settle for a souped up version...*sigh*...the problem with your tranny is that
- no matter how you feel like driving, it shifts rock hard. or at least, all
- of the ones like this i've seen do...my friend drove a 79 vette, 454, reworked
- what..T400, or some such...built in much the same way, except when he punched
- it, it broke loose in 2nd and 3rd w/o his having to shift it...but this is
- anther tale..the point is, it shifted this way when he accelerated, and
- then let off..it still slammed into 2nd..and when it was a constant acceleration
- you got it..it slammed into second and third...now..the setup you have would
- be cool to cruize, and catch attention..but would be a real pain for everyday,
- IMHO..(on the other hand..i do not want a slammed mini either..kidney killer!)
- to each their own, i say..but, to me, the manual still has ALL the advantage,
- and, tho i do tend to be lazy, i am not so lazy as to want an auto for the
- few times i might have more fun in traffic!
- (no flames on the lazy thing...not meant as a generalization abt auto owners!!)
