- I dont know if I agree with that truer to the artform stuff, or the implication
- that the Beasties don't know what "_real_ hip-hop" is, but I definitely agree
- that 3rd Bass had better rhyming skills, at least Serch does. I'm not so sure
- about Pete "Nice". I think 3rd bass was mor focused on creating hip-hop than
- the Beastie Boys were/are. That is why I am hesitant to buy the latest Beastie
- album. If I remember correctly, the Beastie Boys did not get together first as
- a hip-hop group. They were an alternative band or some shit like that. I
- think the Beasties have definitely been an important factor in the growth and
- popularity of hip-hop, and should be given props for doing so, but I can't
- really comment on their latest stuff until I hear the album.
