  36. It does, but to explain why would have made the anecdote even more tedious
  37. to you.

  39. My point was simply that my mother's freedom to do what she normally
  40. did was essentially untouched by the pregnancy.  Granted, the birth
  41. and its aftermath did tie her down considerably, but my brother who
  42. was born on the day in question has repaid his "debt" to my mother
  43. many times over.
