  11. Having brought home my personal copy of version 2.05 (collected from
  12. Fredric i Edinburgh, I used the SAVE feature after doing a scan with
  13. the heuristics option (lots of 'semi-false' positives but correctly
  14. identified as being so).

  16. The result : Funny things happened - system hang (5) - funny
  17. Characters on screen (1) - garbled report (misc.characters replaced
  18. with others) (2).  The above numbers refers to 8 test on 3 machines.

  20. I seems that saving of larger files results in 
  21.     a) no save - with or without hang.
  22.     b) no save - with an entry of length ZERO (0).

  24. By the was if yopu only write a program name when prompted the file
  25. (if it is a small one) will be placed in the root of the last logical
  26. disk on your system.

  28. In these days with a lot of cheap RAM around this will often be a
  29. RAMDISK on many (non-networked) machines. Maybe an other saving
  30. strategy should be considered!

  32. The whole thing is a minor nuissance - when you know of it! But
  33. distributing version 2.05 to 1600 users might give us a feedback we
  34. should like to be without.

  36. As no one has reported the problem - few people seems to use the SAVE
  37. feature!
