  12. Howdy.  We have this NeXT machine kicking around, and since I noticed
  13. that it had a copy of TeX and METAfont which came with it, I figured
  14. I'd put it to good use and set my various work papers on it as well as
  15. play with some of the fonts.  Well, much to my annoyance, when I run
  16. METAfont on some of the .mf files I picked up, it does everything BUT
  17. write the .tfm files, even though the output log says that it did
  18. (it's wrong).  This is enormously inconvenient -- to say the least :-)
  19.  
  20. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get around this problem...
  21. or do I have to snag a new copy of METAfont?
