  29. The Aston archive (tex.ac.uk) has a directory .doc immediately below the 
  30. anonymous ftp login directory. (Note that this is a VMS server, and you 
  31. have to use the "cd [.doc]" notation) Aston is one of the largest 
  32. archives of TeX material in the world, and will probably have virtually 
  33. all the freely-available docs. Note, however, that "The TeXBOOK", 
  34. although source is readily available, is copyrighted, and should *NOT* be 
  35. TeXed. Other good sources (commercial) for documentation are:

  38. A Beginners Book of TeX, Serould & Levy
  39. Tex for Beginners, Snow
  40. Tex by Topic, Eijkhout (Hello, Victor!)
  41. TeX by Example, Borde, and of course
  42. The TeXBOOK, Knuth
  43.  
  44. and several others. I would recommend Seroul and Levy as a first point of 
  45. contact.
