  13. PC Tools 7.1 comes with two versions of some of their programs, specifically
  14. the backup program and the undelete program, one version for Windows and one
  15. for DOS.  I had trouble with the Windows version of the backup program, but
  16. the DOS version works fine.

  18. Some people report no problems with the Windows version of the backup program.
  19. I suspect my problems were, as most things are in the PC-world, configuration-
  20. dependent.  Therefore the Windows backup program may work just fine for you.

  22. HOWEVER!!!!! In my case, the backup program APPEARED to be working for me.
  23. It would make backups with no problem.  But, when I needed to restore something
  24. it couldn't find the file.  So, I strongly recommend that, if you try using
  25. the backup program, don't just try backing up your disk, try restoring some
  26. files, too.  If that works for you, wonderful.  Just don't get a false sense
  27. of security just because the backup program appears to be working.
