• Editors’ Note: In the alternate future visited by Picard in “All Good Things...” (TNG), we saw that after the end of Star Trek: The Next Generation, quite a number of events transpired by the year 2395. Note that there are significant questions of whether all (or any) of these events “actually” happened in the “real” Star Trek future because our heroes indicated a desire to change some things. Also, the destruction of the Enterprise -D in Star Trek: Generations has got to have some bearing on how the future will unfold.
The Klingon Empire conquered the Romulans, and the neutral zone between the Romulan Star Empire and the United Federation of Planets ceased to exist. Relations between the Klingons and the Federation deteriorated as well.
Captain Jean-Luc Picard married Dr. Beverly Crusher, but the two later divorced. Picard resigned Starfleet to become a Federation ambassador, and later went to live on his family farm in France. By 2395, Jean-Luc Picard had advanced Irumodic Syndrome, a degenerative disorder that causes irreversible deterioration of the nervous system. Dr. Beverly Picard became captain of the Starship Pasteur. Her ship was destroyed in 2395 when the Pasteur was attacked by Klingons in the Devron system.
Data left Starfleet to become a professor of physics at Cambridge University. He accepted an appointment to the Lucasian Chair, an honor previously bestowed on such luminaries as Sir Isaac Newton and Dr. Stephen Hawking.
Geordi La Forge also left Starfleet, married the former Leah Brahms, moved to Rigel III, and had three children, Bret, Illandra, and Sydney. Leah became director of the Daystrom Institute, Brett applied to Starfleet Academy in 2394, and Geordi, who no longer needed his VISOR to see, became a novelist.
Deanna Troi died unexpectedly in 2375, about five years after the end of Star Trek: The Next Generation’s seventh season.
Worf never pursued a romantic relationship with Deanna Troi because of Will Riker’s unspoken disapproval. After Troi’s death, Worf and Riker became enemies. Worf served for a time as a member of the Klingon High Council, and by 2395 he was governor of a Klingon colony.
The Starship Enterprise -D was nearly decommissioned by Starfleet in 2390, but Admiral William Riker took a personal interest in his old ship, ordered it upgraded, and took personal command of the Galaxy -class vessel. The ship was destroyed in 2395 while trying to collapse Picard’s subspace anomaly.
Finally, remember that Picard made a point of telling his friends in 2370 (“All Good Things...” [TNG]) about the future that he saw in 2395 for the express purpose of giving them the chance to understand and perhaps change their destinies. We expect that some of them did so.

• Editors’ Note: In the alternate future from which the future Alexander returned in “Firstborn” (TNG), Alexander grew up to be a peacemaker who sought to end the destructive feuding between the great houses. He declared that the house of Mogh would renounce retribution and revenge. But Klingon society was not ready for Alexander’s initiatives. His father, Worf, was murdered on the floor of the High Council chambers. Alexander blamed himself for Worf’s death, and traveled back in time to 2370 to try to persuade his younger self to follow the path of a Klingon warrior. The episode does not indicate if Alexander succeeded in changing his own destiny, so we don’t really know if the “actual” future will unfold in this manner or not.

• A researcher from this century travels back to New Jersey, Earth, in the 22nd century, where his time pod is stolen by an individual named Berlinghoff Rasmussen. The unscrupulous Rasmussen uses the pod to travel to the 24th century.
“A Matter of Time” (TNG). Rasmussen confessed his past to Data.
• Scientist Kal Dano invents the Tox Uthat, a quantum phase inhibitor with enormous weapons potential because of its ability to halt all nuclear reactions within a star. An attempt is made to steal the Uthat by two Vorgon criminals, so Dano travels back in time to the 22nd century, hiding the device on planet Risa. The device remains there until unearthed by archaeologist Vash, whereupon it is destroyed by Enterprise -D captain Picard in 2366.
“Captain’s Holiday” (TNG). The Vorgons related the tale.

• Radiation levels in the Andromeda galaxy are expected to reach intolerably high levels within ten millennia, according to scientists of the Kelvan Empire. Agents of the Kelvan Empire were dispatched aboard a multigenerational spacecraft to explore our Milky Way galaxy for possible colonization.
“By Any Other Name” (TOS). Rojan described the predicted radiation to Kirk. Note: The first edition of this Chronology mistakenly listed this as a 33rd-century event.
