  13. A friend of mine is looking at a 1976 Bug for $1300.

  15. Is this a reasonable price?  Seems a little high to me, unless
  16. this thing is some kind of show car... (which I doubt).  Here
  17. in LA, the average Super Beetle is at least 2 colors and more
  18. than likely has primer over the engine compartment to cover 
  19. where the paint was previously burnt off....

  21. Seriously, I haven't seen this car and all I know about it is
  22. that it looks 'OK' and has a radio/tape player.  Further options
  23. are pretty irrelevant in a car of this type since its selling
  24. price has probably pretty much bottomed out anyway.

  26. My friend is (like me) a starving student, in need of basic 
  27. transportation to get to UCLA for basically as little money as
  28. possible.
